How to build a global network marketing business

If you haven't heard by now, the Internet is exploding with various online business opportunities daily. You can no longer sit back and say Internet business is only suitable for large countries with great technological infrastructure. The Internet is everywhere, even my six year old knows how to "google" something! It's scary yes, but at the same time I am glad that she is part of the new age world. If she can do it then you have no excuse.

Building a global network marketing business is indeed possible with all the tools available today such as tele-conferencing, webinars, email and autoresponders. First, develop a marketing strategy that targets prospects in global markets by ensuring that your offerings can be adapted to an international market whether physically or legally. Be proactive with a marketing system that is set up to capture information such as telephone numbers, email etc. This information will allow you to communicate directly with your prospects almost immediately. Devote time weekly for calls, updates and training to your international market as they are part of your business organisation. Remember, it is very important that you are cognizant of time zones when contacting your prospects. Be prepared to travel and meet with your down line occasionally.

A good leader can be duplicated even if he or she is not physically present. Teach your prospects what you've learned and they will duplicate the business over and over anywhere. If you are involved in a multi-level marketing business you would know that often times your up line may be not in your locale and you are left on your own particularly with new international businesses. However, it is imperative that you think of ways to integrate your local business with your international business. Develop good leaders in your international markets and sit back and watch your profits grow.

Internet marketing can be overwhelming

I am writing this blog as an extension to a question raised by one of my network marketing partners requesting a step by step process to Internet marketing. A few months ago while I was searching for employment I started to explore the Internet for home based opportunities. I was introduced to Internet marketing using methods such as pay per click (PPC) and other methods. I was on my way to learn my new found way of marketing but after a few days I became so bombarded with email from every which way and thought this is not going to work out for me, it was way too much information to track. Now I am able to sort the trash amidst the noise on the Internet.

Months later, I still had not gotten back to it. However, after my primary business was not going according to plan, I started looking for ways to increase my leads and get new prospects to grow my business. I found a program on one of the forums called the MLSP which I started to investigate and I am using to keep me focus on what I wanted to achieve.

If you are reading this blog and want to learn the basics of Internet marketing try looking at some forums with other marketers to learn the methods and strategies you can use to succeed. Remember, you can purchase a system but you have to put in the work to make it work for you.

You first goal is to become Internet savvy. Learn about blogs, free advertising, copy writing and articles etc. Choose the one you are comfortable with and use that as your marketing method. Learn the various ways that you can market your business opportunities. It's never too late to start learning, in fact, I believe in life long learning.

Don't become overwhelmed with all the stuff out there but focus on one system at a time. Look for your target market and get to work with them. If you don't have a target market you will not be focused and will be all over the place. Be aware of self proclaimed gurus promoting their products. Look for reputable individuals and companies with some history. I will be sharing more on this topic in the future.

Creativity is the new buzz word in business

My thinking is that this economy will not function properly without small businesses, period. However, these are the ones suffering most now; no loans and no money to keep them going. Small businesses should be created and this is what we need to do now. We need them more than ever. If you want to spend time with your family, be healthy and so on, think about what you can do to increase your monthly income and or replace your current "fixed income" from your job.

In one of my recent readings I came across the trend of the "conceptual age" and thought, it's here, this is what is happening now! Creativity is the new buzz word for business and life in general. It all about you as a person, what do you have to offer this society? You can't afford to miss the boat now otherwise you will remain where you are and doing what you are doing always. The way we do business is changing, the world is changing.

I think large corporations will be a thing of the past. As many of you know it's people that make up corporations not the buildings and we are seeing these corporations crumble daily. A big company announces layoffs, how do you think they will function without staff? For example, the head of Apple (Mac) recently announced his leave from the company due to health related issues and the stocks fell like crazy that day. Why? He is the leader of that company and his leadership adds value.

Change your mindset and change your life now!

Procrastination is a poor business trait

How many times have you said "This is not the right time or I'll do it later or maybe tomorrow! If any one of these is your favorite line then forget about building a business particularly, if you are in the Internet marketing business. The same is also true for a brick and mortar business. I've learned that if you wait to do the things that matters most for your business today you will be struggling with them later.

Check this out! I subscribed to an online marketing system which I am using as a marketing tool to generate leads and prospects to my home business. After reading and following the leaders in the networking industry on how to use these systems I decided to start doing the things that will help me make some money first. I bought the system and set it up and within two to three days it was working! Actually, I got my first lead and I was so delighted! What a feeling that was to see something you've "branded" doing what it is supposed to do! I know the system works well so my next step was learning how can it be maximized! That's where learning continues, in fact you've only just begun. This is now where all you've learned in Marketing 101 comes into play so brush up on these skills or do a course.

I've got the Internet marketing bug and I'm all excited. I would tell you though that I am not a guru but I am forever learning new things. I've also done some videos and loaded them onto You Tube. I am now studying Google AdWords etc so I still have much learning to do. What I really wanted to share with you was that you should not put off doing things that can be done today. Putting off things you should and can do now until later is called procrastination, just in case you didn't know. Can you imagine if I didn't take that first step to set up the marketing system but tried to learn everything under the sun about Internet marketing? Listen, you don't have to get it perfect the first time, just start and build on it! If you've always wanted to try Internet marketing or set up your first home business start now! If you are a procrastinator you need to change your outlook on life. Procrastination is a poor business trait! Get it started and you'll be happy with the results.

Live your dreams now!

What are you afraid of with social networking?

If you are anything like me, you may have been very slow to implement the various technologies available today such as Facebook, Twitter and the Internet as a whole. However, once you start you are hooked on them. I remember my first introduction to the social networking media such as Facebook. I had a profile for a good few months but wouldn't post anything. Looking back at it now, I laugh at myself because my main interest was listed as networking.

Initially, I was adamant that I didn't want any part of it because you could lose your identity. Your personal information is there for everyone to follow. However, I later found that this allowed me to connect with old school friends and people I lost track of through my life. What could be wrong with wanting to rekindle these friendships again? Absolutely nothing! You see, I want to share my existence with my new found friends which also helps me to grow personally.

They are getting to know and understand me even better than before. What better way to let them know what I've been up to than share it through comments, links and photos. So, I would say to all my friends if you have access to a computer join me and share your existence.

Stand out from the pack

On a recent trip to Paris,I was sitting on the "Big Red Bus" tour and enjoying the beauty of the city on a bright, sunny but cold day when my husband looked over and said, "I could not live here". I looked him dead in the eye and asked "Why not?". He replied because it's different! I smiled at him and said "that's what I like about Paris, I love the difference!" We also visited Dubai and Abu Dhabi and my husband's ohs and ahs on decent into the Dubai International Airport made me laugh! He liked what he saw which he thought was really different. As you can see a person's perspective on what makes something different varies. I love the old, classic historic buildings of France, while he likes the new age designs of Dubai. Both these cities attract lots of tourists each year offering the same product but presented in a different way.

You see, I really like being different. It's the same thing that market leaders try to get across to businesses and individuals promoting products and services. This is what makes a product or service stands out from others in the market? This concept is called market differentiation. It's the value that is added to the product or services offered in the market place.

Think about the value you provide each time you as a leader provides a service or product with your Internet marketing business. Offer something different to your customers and clients other than what others online are offering. You could use skills acquired previously from a career or hobbies you really enjoy. This could become your primary business. If you don't stand out from the pack you won't succeed in your business.

Are you ready? Everyone's doing it!

Well, I never thought I'd see the day when my fellow accountants would recommend Internet marketing as a way to market a business. This was being suggested only today on the AICPA website that businesses start using these strategies to save costs e.g newsletters, podcast, email and social networking media. In fact, it made me feel really proud to have read that many have started adopting these methods as a way forward.

These forums provide not only a way to socialise with friends but to connect and form various relationships including business relationships. They allow you to build long term relationships with friends who you may consider as business partners or those now starting out in these tough economic times. It seems now everybody is going this way as these strategies are considered the hottest and newest marketing trends. Let's face it, times have changed. We need to update our skills in marketing and take advantage of the global economy. It does not matter what field you are in right now. Technology has allowed us to capture and market in this niche. With that said, you should provide value to your clients and customers each and every time you connect with them.

So I urge you get on board, otherwise you will be left behind!

Using the economic meltdown as a hatchet?

Everyday we hear of more and more people being let go from their jobs. We listen to the media and all the reports are negative. Only recently, President-Elect Barrack Obama mentioned that things are going to get worse. Now, when things like this are being said daily what do you think businesses are going to do? For example, are they going to advertise more? No! Are they going to look for ways to cut expenses? Yes!

If this is constantly toted around businesses will wither away because they cannot plan to increase revenues in the future when the economy is contracting. What do you think will happen to jobs? They will go also. Businesses will start cutting jobs, decrease spending, banks will stop lending even more and then blame it on the economy.

It's like you think something is going to happen to you then it will. Why can't people begin to say positive things about the global economy that will change our mindset and increase productivity and growth? It feels like we are just stuck and saying the same thing over and over with no real action. It seems as though many companies are using the economic meltdown as a hatchet. It will stunt the growth of businesses eventually.

Let's start a worldwide brainstorm of what we can do to get it right this time! Let's move forward!

Global thinking!

Managing Your Home Business Finances

After reading numerous books and training materials you have made the decision on starting your first home business. First, remember we are in a global recession so pay close attention to your money as you start marketing your business. I'm going to share with you some tips on how to manage your home business finances.

1. If it's free-grab it! Always take advantage of free give aways first. If you can get on to sites where you can advertise for free use these to save money on your advertising budget. Always take the trial periods before signing up for the service offered. That way you can save a month of expense you would have incurred otherwise before deciding if the product offered is suitable for your business.

2. Share your website with all your email buddies and on social networking sites. This can work in your favour particularly if your friends and associates can provide you with some feed back on your site before using more expensive marketing tools.

3. Keep tabs on your spending online. This can add over time and before you know it you've spent money that you really need later on to expand your business reach. Record all the cash you've spent on you credit cards or other wise.

4. Always prepare an advertising budget. E.g if you plan on spending $100 each month on ads etc. make sure you allocate appropriately to each campaign you are working on. This allows you to track how much you are spending on each campaign and and to see which ones are profitable.

5. Always prepare a monthly statement of income and expenses to see if your business is profitable. You may have to spend more initially to get started but over time your profits should be more than your expenses. If you have not even break even within a given time frame you should consider moving on.

Happy tracking!

Improve Your Business Image

Have you ever thought about why some people are really successful in their online business and others are not? It's all about your image. If you are now starting out in your online business you want to project the best business image ever. Don't let a bad image disqualify you from achieving success with your business.

You've just started marketing your new Internet marketing business. You should have a profile or biography on your site about yourself. Market yourself, "you" are the one with whom they will be doing business. For example, you've sent a link to your website to people you know or from your prospecting lists let them see who you are, add a photo to your web page and all your links. If you taking part in social networking media put your picture on your capture page. Here are some guidelines to help with your image:

1. Clean photos - get a professional portrait if you don't have one that is suitable. Usually, if people see photos which are tasteless on your biography they won't take you serious.

2. A brief description about yourself - make it fun! You don't want to be seen as too aloof or too serious. People generally like people who they think are cool.

3. Personal information should be kept to a minimum. There is no need to share too much about your personal life.

4. Mention your achievements - this makes you stand out from others and creates value in yourself.

Remember first impressions count even if it's an online business!

Here's to your success!

Marketing "You"- Getting Started

We've all been to that place where we have started a business or we are about to start a business and we need to look for sources to get the message out to our customers and prospects. Today, I am going to look at marketing yourself and the steps taken to get started.

So you've set up your marketing campaign or your business is now ready to go to the market. You are well on your way to start the process of marketing your business. The first thing you need to do is to start with "You". Your customers or potential business partners are not going to look at your opportunity or products if they don't trust the person presenting it to them. Below I've set up a three step process which is necessary to help you get started marketing yourself.

Step 1. - Build Your List

You may have already set up your auto-responder by now whether you have a brick and mortar company or an online business. If you haven't you need to get to it as soon as possible. An auto- responder is an automated system used to generate emails, newsletters etc to your leads once they have signed on to your capture page on your website. Once your leads start rolling in from your capture page the first thing you should do is build a list of your leads. You have collected names and e-mail addresses for your prospects. Remember, you do NOT introduce your primary product at this stage. No selling recommended until you have built a relationship with your leads. Selling products only would not work!

Step 2. - Build Trust

Once your leads are receiving your email about what you are doing and how you can help them develop their business they will start to trust you as a leader. This is where you use forums, social networking media such as Facebook, Twitter, and of course your Blog. Send them information of value that they can use too. Now that your prospects view you as a leader, they will become interested in you and what you are doing.

Step 3. - Market to that list

After you've gone through step 1 and 2 it is now time to introduce your prospects to your primary business. Having built a relationship they will become more interested in your opportunity. Let them know how you can help them with their needs whether it is a product or service. Sell to your leads and prospects! Stick with it and be persistent!
